Despite it very nearly not going ahead, due to a longer admission than anticipated at Alder Hey, the team pulled out all the stops on the Sunday prior to get the risk assessments printed and delivered to the home address, ready for the trip to Minehead the following day.
Clearly wanting to sample all that the local area had to offer, H ended up having an overnight stay at Musgrove Park Hospital, following a decline in her overall presentation. Initial concerns regarding line infection ruled out as bloods came back fine. Whatever it was she slept it off, and was discharged the following day to enjoy the rest of her holiday.
She enjoyed going swimming, to the park, the evening entertainment and having a go on the rides, taking one of her nurses on the merry-go round with her!
